Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShopSabi platform, including our website and all associated services (collectively, "ShopSabi"). Please read them carefully before creating an account.
By registering for or using ShopSabi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement under Nigerian law to use ShopSabi. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@shopsabi.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent.
3. Subscription and billing
ShopSabi is a subscription-based service. By selecting a plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees in Naira as displayed at the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
- Payments are processed securely by Paystack. ShopSabi does not store your payment credentials.
- You will receive an email notification before each renewal.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of your account until payment is resolved.
4. Free trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to the features of their chosen plan. No payment information is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, you will need to subscribe to continue using the platform. Your data is preserved if you subscribe within 30 days of the trial ending.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again after that date. Your account and data remain accessible until the billing period ends. After that, your data will be retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export anything you need.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ShopSabi to:
- Violate any applicable Nigerian or international law or regulation.
- Upload or transmit harmful, fraudulent, or misleading content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other users' accounts.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
- Use the platform to process transactions that are illegal under Nigerian law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
7. Your data
You retain full ownership of all business data you enter into ShopSabi — including product listings, sales records, and staff information. By using the platform, you grant ShopSabi a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your business data for any other purpose.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter into the platform.
8. Intellectual property
ShopSabi and all its components — including the software, design, trademarks, and content — are owned by ShopSabi and protected under applicable Nigerian intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights to the platform.
9. Availability and service changes
We aim to maintain high availability of the ShopSabi platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to features at any time. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes or planned downtime.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, ShopSabi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email if the changes are material. Your continued use of ShopSabi after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
