• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Business information — shop name, product data, sales records, and inventory data you enter into the platform.
• Payment information — when you subscribe to a plan, payments are processed by Paystack. ShopSabi does not store your card details or bank account numbers. Paystack handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
• Device and usage data — browser type, IP address, pages visited, and actions taken within the platform to help us improve performance and fix issues.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the ShopSabi platform.
• Process your subscription and communicate billing updates.
• Send you important account notices, security alerts, and product updates.
• Respond to your support requests and enquiries.
• Monitor platform usage to diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse.
• Comply with applicable Nigerian law and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We apply industry-standard security measures — including encryption in transit and at rest — to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss.

Each business account on ShopSabi is fully isolated. No other business on the platform can access your shop's data.

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Paystack, solely to process subscription payments.
• With service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. hosting), under strict confidentiality agreements.
• When required by Nigerian law, a court order, or a government authority.
• In the event of a business transfer or acquisition, where user data may be part of the transferred assets — you will be notified in advance.

ShopSabi uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may also use anonymous analytics to understand how the platform is used. These analytics do not identify you personally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with NITDA if you believe your data rights have been violated.

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data will remain accessible until the end of your billing period and will be permanently deleted within 90 days thereafter, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

ShopSabi is intended for use by adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has registered an account, please contact us and we will promptly remove the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you by email if the changes are material. Continued use of ShopSabi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
